Re: I'm an idiot and stripped out the fuel inlet on my Q-Jet
I was 30+ years in GM dealership management and Master certified ASE.
The full inlet can be repaired with a he-licoil type fitting repair kit and a throttle body shaft bushing repair kit that allows bronze bushings to be epoxyed in to the throttle body. The throttle body shaft will wear in the body and create a vacuum leak and driveability issues. I just googled the throttle body repair kit and Summit Racing has it. I would go to some cruise nights and ask around for an old GM technician in your area that specialized in tune-up and carbs. I am a Quadra-jet guy and will not run the other stuff! Hope this helps.
