door lock and ignition switch set

My drivers door is getting hard to lock. It unlocks fine but when you try to lock it sometimes it's like you are using the wrong key. The passenger side is fine. My ignition switch is also getting worn. Are there any suggestions to fix this problem, lube in the door lock didn't help. If not where can I get a MATCHED set with doors and ignition keyed the same?

If you haven't already, stick the penetrating oil (not WD-40) tube inside the lock cylinder and give it a good spray. Put the key in the lock and turn it back and forth a few times.(use the best key you have to do this)

Then roll the window down and with a good strong light you can see the door latch and locking mechanism through the opening at the back of the door glass. Spray the crap out of the latch and lock parts with penetrating oil (not WD-40). Then open and close the door and lock and unlock it few times and see if that helps....

If that doesn't help you basically have three choices. 1. If the lock cylinder is worn I can put new springs and wafers in it. 2. I can key a good used door lock cylinder to your existing key. 3. You can buy a new or good used lock set.

I recently purchased the door & ignition matching lock set from the Truck & Car Shop in Orange, CA. Item # 67-02204. $22.00. I'm pretty sure Brothers has the item as well.

Lock doc, what do you consider a good penetrating oil for this application

I bought a matched set from Classic Parts of America to replace mine. One door wouldn't work at all and the other was sticky. Lube didn't help.

Nice thing is now all 3 match on one key instead of 2 separate keys like before.

While I had things apart I lubed everything inside the doors also. Works great now.

PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, Kroil (never used it but I hear it's good) There are a few others but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
