1969 GMC 3500 Camper

Just picked up this project. Cab looks great. Camper part, not so great. Underhood is amazing. Factory AC and cruise control is all intact. It has been sitting outside for twelve years, so it is going to need a thorough going through.

Interesting truck.

About the largest camper I've ever seen on a 1-Ton.

Keep us posted on it.

14 feet from cab to back bumper
It is a long chassis

Looks like an unaltered 157" wheelbase, or 84" cab-axle center. That's a nice find

Glove box plate says 157". Going to try and save camper part. If not, I've found some vintage tongue and groove flooring to use to make a flatbed

If you do put it back on the road as it is, remember to watch out for "Tail Swing". You have a good amount of truck there, way past the rear axle. If the truck were alongside another vehicle or close to a building and you decided to take a hard turn...
