Alright, I got a great start and got the right headers but I need some ideas on how I can run my exaust so it won't drag when I lay frame. Please post up your pics of exaust routing on layed out trucks

You need shorty headers. Run the exhaust overtop of the transmission x-member. Cut 4" holes through the trailing arm x-member and run the exhaust through there. That's the only way u will get the exhaust from hanging below the frame. This is how mine is done.

One thing's for sure...you need to run the exhaust higher than the bottom of the frame. I run them that way on all my trucks,even 4wds. You'll never see the exhaust on a slammed truck,right? The trailing arm crossmember needs 4" holes so the pipes can run through. The rest is easy and obvious. Any good exhaust man will run it above the frame bottom. Proper full length headers won't hang below the frame rails. I have run them on 4/6 drop,no problem

I am cutting the holes as soon as I can get the truck to mu buddies house when I put the deep notches in I was Just trying to get some pics to go off of. But thank you for both of your responses. I have 3.5 in exaust right now and have a set off sweet stainless mid length headers that will keep me high enough. Really Im trying to figure out where to put my flowmasters and then dumps

I'm in the same place as you. About to C-notch the frame and can't keep my over-axle tail pipe set up.
Looks like I will have to dump my tail pipe right out of the muffler end just before it goes over the axle.
I've seen other fancy setups with side exit exhausts but I think I'm just going to do a simple turn down tip.

There is a member with a suburban who ran his exhaust down the outside of the frame all the way from the collectors, looked like a good idea plenty of room out there....can't seem to find it in the search though.
