Re: Intermittent Starting Issues Help
Thank you guys for the responses. I would say it would be a starter/solenoid problem, however it was replaced about two or three weeks ago.
To 1976gmc, yes everything works. No dimming or anything. The battery was the first thing I checked when this first started happening. To greg, that seems like a good idea. My mechanic guy checked it but only near the starter. He said to check the rest of it when I have time. It was weathered and bare in a spot or two but he rewired that area, but there may be more. As far as the time of day, its all over the place. I thought heat might be an issue, but it's happened at night before so I kinda ruled that out. Although last time it happened it was sitting out in a parking lot for a while, and being in AZ it gets pretty damn hot. Well as of today, I had an had an electrical guy come out to check my alarm system. My mechanic (family friend) said that it might be the kill switch on my alarm. Apparently the way the Audio Express guys installed it was wrong (had something to do with a diode between the connection) and said that he had seen this problem before. He sent me the name of another guy and he came out. Anyway, the alarm system is 'fixed' and now I just wait for if/when the problem occurs.
