Chevy Bowtie emblem on hood

I have a question for all you Knowledgable Chevy people. My 71 blazer has a single hole in the hood for a Chevy emblem. I thought some of the 70 Blazers had the emblem not 71?? Next question is, did any of the emblems only have a single pin mounting point?

Maybe it was drilled aftermarket?? But the blazer paint was all original. It looks like a factory hole.

my 71 had a blue bowtie on the hood also but my emblem has two studs that hold it to the hood

My 70 emblem was on the hood, mounted with 2 holes. My 72 emblem in in the center of the grille. I believe all of the eggcrate grilles (71 and 72) had the emblem mounted in the center.

It sounds like a previous owner may have put a hood ornament on it.

69-70 had the bowtie on the front of the hood with 2 pins on it. 71-72 had it in the center of the grill.
