I'm running buckets with a center box. I put the am/fm/cd and changer in the box. I use the stock am in the dash to power the system including the amp, that works off the on/off knob that way the system stays hidden. I have rigged another radio to do the same thing but I'm also going to use the push bottons to work the door locks and an ignition cut out. You could put your good radio in the glove box and power it off the am like I do. Just splice a wire from the am radio light to a relay that will switch on your radio/ amp/ ect.
