Where exactly do the k5 emblems go

I need to drill some holes in my fenders to put the k5 emblems on, I'm wondering if someone could give me the location of the holes. If I could get a measurement of how far the holes are from the back edge of the fender and how far up from the body line just above the lower trim that would be great.
Thanks

Re: Where exactly do the k5 emblems go

No factory assembly manual here, but I would think it has that info?
Maybe not, I'm interested in the outcome of this, seeing as I'll have
the same problem some day when I go to put mine on, any 1 know?

Re: Where exactly do the k5 emblems go

This is a shot of my blazer and it gives you the general location of the emblems, I may be able to get more accurate measurements tomorrow if they are in the factory assembly manual or if I can find them, as you know that manual has no index and it'll take a while to go through something that's almost 2 in. thick

Re: Where exactly do the k5 emblems go

Mine are 3 pins, as long as I get a location for the 2 lower pins I can figure the other one out. I have a couple more questions, I want to put my CST emblems on also, can someone get me a measurement from the front edge of the door to the front edge of the CST emblem? When I drill the holes is there some sort of paint or primer I should put on the bare metal to keep it from rusting? Thanks

Re: Where exactly do the k5 emblems go

Here's a crappy pic of the only diagram I found in the manual, hopes it helps.

The pic shows the original emblems had 3 pins, maybe the ones with only two are repops

My emblems have 3 pins and are NOS GM, so that could be. The picture helps a little but not a whole lot, I still don't know where on the fender to put the emblem, but thanks anyway.

They`re in the same place as your truck emblems.

I compared the measurements members are giving me to my truck fender and the hole closest to the door is the same the other one is in a different location, the k5 blazer emblem is longer. I drilled the holes in my old bent up GMC fender and I think I have it figured out.

Re: Where exactly do the k5 emblems go

I know it's an older thread but I read on one of the posts, there are 2 pin k5 blazer emblems and 3 pin k5 blazer emblems. My 70 blazer has 2 holes on the fender for the k5 blazer emblem, LMC sells the 3 pin emblems. Are they the same exact emblems with the exeption of the extra pin??
Thanks
