If you have no power from the yellow wire at the T/S switch harness connector the switch has failed or the wire running up the column is broken between the connector and the switch itself. Personally I would just replace the switch since it has to come out to inspect it anyway.

Ok that's what I was thinking. I replaced the steering wheel with one from a 62 bel air, and the canceling mechanism was not compatible with the older wheel. So I removed it and just have to manually cancel the blinkers. I thought that may have something to do with the switch failing
