6 cylinder Air Cleaner Swap Question...Help Please!!!!!!

I have a 250 6 cylinder Engine in my 1970 Chevy Short Stepside. I would like to Put a Chrome Air Cleaner on the 1-Barrel Carb, but it has several Tubes from it to different places. Can I just take the tubes off and put in breathers where they go to from the Air Cleaner? Any help would be great...Thanks....

i would say it depends on where the tubes run and what they are for. If they run to your valve covers you should beable to just take out the hoses and put a breather in place on the tubes. That is what i would do if the tubes were just breather tubes running form the air filter.
