How about a medium stepside bed???

Ok, so i'm new to this forum, but i've been dreaming about building a 65 stepside resto-mod for a while. I'm about ready to stop dreaming and start doing!! anyhow, i've found a long bed stepside and i'm thinking about buying it and cutting it down. What about only cutting 12" out of in front of the fender and leaving the back intact?? has anybody done this?

I don't know if it's been done before but don;t let that stop you. Do a quick photo shop of it and if you like it then go for it Here's a picture of my '67 that we shortened 27" in front of the rear wheel.

I really like the look of the "Shmedium" fleetside beds. It's got good proportion, and it's like a bit of the best of both worlds. I may do it on a future build.......
