Hellwig helper springs?

Has anyone tried out the Hellwig EZ-990 series helper spring kits? If so how difficult was the installation and how much do they really help? I'm considering installing a set on my '00 Z71 standard cab LB because it nearly drags the rear of the truck when pulling my '69 c10 on trailer. Also do they have any effect on ride quality when there's no load?
