I have found in my truck that if I first inflate past my desired front pressure, and then deflate slightly to my desired front pressure, the bag will have plenty of room on all sides to not touch the control arm. It is my understanding that you want to avoid having the bag rub when inflated and driving, touching itself (inflated or deflated) or the arm when deflated shouldn't cause any issues provided there are no sharp edges which can abrade the bag.
