Factory galvanized floor pan RPO S2G

This RPO is one I have not seen before.....S2G....galvanized floor pan;on the SPID of an 83 GMC....has anyone seen this before?

question is did they still rust? I hear the corvettes have a galvanized frame and they rust out too

My '85 C/10 has that, bed floor galv. It still rusted around the two rear stake pockets. Cab floor is not galv.

Truck is an original 1 ton dually cab and chassis...model is CC31003 so it did not come with a box.
If I buy the unit I will have a good look and see if the floor appears to be galvanized.
V code for plant...built in Pontiac,Michigan.
Truck was at a Chevy dealer in Buford,Georgia;the Holmes 440 wrecker crane is built in Chattanooga.
