Headlight help

The headlights on my 64 C10 have stopped working. The BRIGHT indicator light is on and does not turn off after depressing the floor switch. It's most likely something simple but electrical is not my strong point. Thought I'd start with you guys before I waste a lot of time. Thanks in advance.

Re: Headlight help

Do you have a wiring diagram and a multi-meter ? These are essential tools to trouble shoot electrical problems.

Re: Headlight help

You need a test light at least to get started looking for the problem. These trucks have a habit of burning up the wiring at the dimmer switch. Easy to take a quick look. Have you looked at the fuse?

Re: Headlight help

I'm going to dive into it tomorrow . I was just hoping that because the bright light indicator is now on all the time (with the light switch on) that someone would recognize this as a problem they once had and could point me in the right direction. Thank you for the response .
