What steering wheel is this?

Can anyone identify the steering wheel in this truck? I like the style. It's a toss up between purchasing a stock wheel or finding one of these.
Thanks for any help.

Re: What steering wheel is this?

It's a 59 impala wheel. They are available from aftermarket vendors. I have an original I plan on running in my truck.

Excellent. So it should be able to mount up to a stock 55.2 column?
Thanks

Re: What steering wheel is this?

I test fitted mine on my 59 column and it seemed to fit good. I also tried it on the 78 Chevy van column I plan to use with the camaro clip and it seems like it will fit once I grind off the small lip at the bottom as the transition on the van column is slightly smaller.

Splines are all the same.

I really want to do a van column, but I can't find one local. And really don't wanna pay 3x what is worth.

Re: What steering wheel is this?

Thanks. I plan to get it painted gloss black once I finish up my interior. I think it has a slightly more custom flavour than the stock truck wheel.

Re: What steering wheel is this?

They are a great looking wheel when you find a nice one. The one in your photo has an aftermarket bullet in the middle of the horn button.

Re: What steering wheel is this?

The wheel may be hard to find. 58 through 62 or 3 were very similar, that may help your search.

They are reproduced, and, they now make them in the original 17" , and a smaller 15" size.

Re: What steering wheel is this?

Thanks for the help guys. I found the aftermarket ones once I got the info on what wheel it actually is.
Aftermarket may be the way to go, since it isn't going into an impala, no need to get a 'correct' stock one.
