Dome light bulb replacement

Im looking to replace th bulb in my dome light to a led style bulb. I don't want anything blue, white is ok though. What's the bulb size? The stock bulb is ok but I replaced the bulbs in my console I installed to leds and you can see the difference. Thanks fellas

Re: Dome light bulb replacement

It should be a 211-2 style and there are definitely color options depending on where you shop. Superbright LEDs for example.

https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-44mm-car/237/ This the bulb? 5 bucks isn't bad at all. I'm thinking the white, the light blue they offer might be too much blue for my taste. - Zach

Re: Dome light bulb replacement

I put a LED bulb in the dome light & also under the dash (courtesy lights). You can see the light shining on the seat, even in the daylight. At night, they really light up the inside.

Do you have a link to the courtesy light? Those look great. Actually, do you have a link for both that and the led dome? They match really well. How bad was it wiring it?

Re: Dome light bulb replacement

Thank you sir. How did you go about wiring it? Follow directions or go about yourself?

Re: Dome light bulb replacement

The courtesy lights wire into the existing wiring for the light that's already under the dash, orange & white wires if I remember right. The door will lights will tap into the wiring that goes to the door switch.
When I get home from work, in the morning, I will look at the actual led bulbs and let you know what the part number is. I got them from the local auto store.

Everything was pretty easy to do, I'm actually a miss, not a sir. So if I can do it, it's easy

Re: Dome light bulb replacement

What happens if you step on the lighted bowtie in the plate? Will it break?

Oh I'm sorry, miss! It's just natural to expect a man, that's great women are into squares! And thanks for checking for the part number. I appreciate it

Re: Dome light bulb replacement

So the courtesy light bulb is a Pilot 1156, I got them from Oreily"s. I believe Auto Zone & Advanced Auto has them too.

The dome light, I got off ebay

Thanks

I got a new cardboard storage tray from:

http://www.usa1industries.com/1973-8...tool-tray.html

I then used speaker box carpet to cover the tray. Attachment 1469070
