Great looking truck and awesome job with all the work!
Many have said it already, but the bed looks amazing. Did you buy the metal slats in black or have them painted/powder coated? If you purchased them in black, who was the supplier? Thanks

I purchased them raw and had them painted gloss black, and used all stainless hardware. The truck had plywood in the bed when I bought it haha. It almost needs refinished again due to me driving it all the time.

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB

Nice truck!! My truck has already been dropped 4 to 5 inches already now in the front and really like the way it looks..... See the picture. I saw a guy that had a 66 like mine with a 3 inch drop spring and still had about 2 inches open air between the tire and the wheel lip moulding. Did you do the 2.5 drop spindle and 3" in drop spring with a 235 75 tire and that happened? One guy said he did his 63 like this and it was fine.. but the only reason I am thinking of doing this is my camber now I cannot set correctly. The front coils were cut 1.5 coils off. I am assuming that is about 4 to 5 inches... thoughts...

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB

64JMB Yea I have 2" drop spindles with 3" drop springs. I also changed upper control arms to try and correct camber some. I used performance online tubular controls arms, they definitely helped with alignment setting. Your truck looks awesome now! I had p215/70r15 thin whitewalls they fit good. I had P235/75R15s before but they were too tall and hit the inner fenders when I hit big bumps on the highway and it would bottom out.

Notch1988 Thanks man! I actually enjoyed it most of the time, it was an adventure!

oh ok... so you had to change the control arms... I did not want to do that for sure...what was the height do you remember with the 235 75's ground to bottom of your wheel lip moulding? Mine was 26 7/8 from the ground to the bottom of the wheel lip moulding. What was your with the 235 75 15's?

I just changed my upper controls arms. They weren't that expensive or anything. No I don't remember honestly. They wasn't on very long because they scrubbed so bad it was dangerous.

So the 2 inch drop spindles and 3 inch drop spring was not safe in your opinion?

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB

Here is another couple pictures from recent Pigeon forge truck show trip we went on and got to see some Elk along the way. Also had my exhaust redone again and added speed INC longtube headers and full 3" exhaust with H pipe, and put in Dead ends garage crossmember cutouts for the exhaust to stay up inside frame. Loving it so far! Fixing to add a Tru cool 40k trans cooler also to help trans live as long as possible. Waiting on my new 30x50 shop to be done so I can get all my tools and all moved hopefully soon!
