does the stovebolt powerglide bolt the back of a 70's 350 engine?

just curious and didn't see answer in the FAQ section. the 235.5 is a 63 if that matters because I saw a lot of reference to the 60-62 only. ? thanx , crossy

the 235 eng was used 1962 and prior in production. It was also used in 63 4 x 4 production.
referring to this what do you mean by stovebolt p/glide? I see that you removed the question.

Re: does the stovebolt powerglide bolt the back of a 70's 350 engine?

didn't remove question Ron, just had it in title only . does the early 235 bolt to the back a 70's 350 SBC? . I was pretty sure the later inline 6 would interchange with a SBC, but could not remember about the old stovebolts. Not in a particular year truck, just a general question. Guy said his 235 & PG was from a 63. I know it's a 235(style), but haven't checked numbers to verify year.thanx , crossy

Re: does the stovebolt powerglide bolt the back of a 70's 350 engine?

235 b/housing would not exchange with any chevrolet v8, nor any 230, 250 or 292 which were 63 and up. 230/250 and 292 housings will interchange with the v8. regarding the 63 with the 235 which I believe was only in the 4 x 4 would not have had a p/glide. if the 235 was avail in other 63 l/duty then th early p/g may have been an option. someone else may be able to verify that?
