did you see the taillights on project copperhead (trucks!)

did you see the LED tail light upgrade? Ive been thinking of something like that for the 73-87's for a while now, and have not seen anyone that makes it (granted I havent searched real hard)..

anyone know if there is an LED upgrade for our tail lights? If not, what have you guys done to make the taillights brighter/better

Oh Yeah!
I loved those tailights..............42 LEDS if I remember right.
I have only 7 LEDS in my '84s and will say that you need at least 42 for it to be bright enough (for me)
I haven't seen anyone make a setup like that yet for our trucks.........but it has to be coming.

Yeah, I saw it a while back, then read it again in the latest Custom Classic Trucks. Here's a thread pertaining to that subject...Brighter tail lights

A member from the 67-72 forum makes LED brake lights for those years and is working on some for 73-87's.
Try posting something in the 67-72 forum about LED tail lights and I am sure you will get some responces from the guy making them and some guys who bought them.

Reumster is the board member that is making them, but he's been MIA for about a month now

Precision Rodware makes LED's for trucks, and they say you can install them on pretty much anything. The trick is they are made to be flush mount so there's bodywork involved. Good article on it in Truckin' magazine November 2002 issue.

I designed the original L.E.D. Tail lights for Project CopperHead. That was a life time ago it seems.
