Speedometer cable for 83 with SM465

Finally got my speedometer adapter in and it got my reading within 2-3mph of actual (I needed a 1.266666, found a 1.25 cheap and said close enough).

Anyhow, needle jumps a little more now. It jumped before, so figured I would pull adapter back off and grease it with a little white lithium grease, and put a new speedo cable in.

Looking at Rockauto, an upper speedo cable and lower speedo cable are listed. Why 2 pieces, and guessing I should go ahead and get both?

Looks like 1 piece would be smoother/ less likely to have issues.

Thanks to Rich Weyand for the help getting the correct adapter.

This one will work if you want to go to a one piece. I put one on mine with a new ratio adapter recently.
