how do you remove the dash?
i have removed three bolts from either side but it appears that the dash is also connected along the back under the windshield weatherstripping. what do i have to do to remove the dash completly? i want that dash to go into another truck.

It is spotwelded in. You will have to do some cutting to get it out.

You can slice it under the dash pad and weld it into the other truck. This is rather easy and you won't have to pull the front glass to drill out the million or so spot welds.

Depending on how good a job they did at the factory you might have some real hard times getting the dash apart where it is spot welded above the bolts. It isnt easy to get in there with a drill. You might find it easier to cut away the bad dash to gain better access to that area.

like Andy said, cut along the slits where the dash pad goes and along the ends of the das area if it spot welded there too.

thanks guys, i'll try that. i assume that you just re-weld what you cut and that it is covered by the dash pad.
