How to clean these hinges
I just pulled these off. I was wondering if I should just sand blast and POR15? What do you guys do?

I have had one set sand blasted and powder coated and one set sand blasted and painted with just a can of spray paint and I can't tell a difference in the appearance of either set, they both look equally good. The thing I would be careful with is the POR15 cracking on the spring when the hinge is compressed. With spray paint and powder coat I haven't had that happen but I also haven't tried POR15 yet

If you blast there's no reason for POR. Just use good paint.

Agree blasting and a good primer with paint should be all you need.

I ran mine in my electrolysis tank for something like 12 hours then let it sit in Evaporust and it came out looking NEW.
I then coated with NAPA Rust Treatment and let it sit 24 hours. I then primed in Krylon and top coated in Krylon gloss black. Let me find a pic.   I could only submerge it one half at a time (in this bucket) but here it is after 24 hours in Evaporust. I then did the other end.

I second the opinion on not using Por15. Just bead or sand blast and go at them with a semi-gloss black rattle can. (I prefer Krylon)
