Brake Light Broke...

So, when my lights are on, the taillights work fine. But, on the drivers side, when I step on the brakes, the taillight goes out.

I checked the voltage to the socket. everything seems fine. New bulb too..

Any advice?

Piper

Does your drivers side turn signal work?
Double check your bulb, and make sure you have the 1157 bulb, and not the 1156.

Yeah, turnsignal works great. Bulb is 1157. I'm stumped. maybe a ground problem?

try switching the bulbs and see if it follows bulb or stays on drivers side

nope, not a ground problem.
If the turn signal works fine, (and we are talking about the turn signal with the parking light off) then the only thig it could be is a bad turn signal switch.
