Johnny Law Motors IFS system

Has anyone used or know of anyone that has used Johnny Law Motors IFS system? Seen it on eBay and am interested...

I have never heard of him before,What are you wanting to put a ifs kit in to ?

Not 100% sure, but I think Johnny Law is part of the Hoffman Group, and they don't have a good track record. Someone else may know more that I do....Jim

so Dustmaker65, since you asked about IFS, what are you planning? I think our minds are thinking the same thing. I can definitely say, that im trying to find an affordable option/solutions for IFS. i thought about ordering control arms only. I thought about the PB drop member. I looked at ridetech stuff, KP components, and nolimits stuff. these are all great options but just not affordable to me, at this time. keep scratching your head, may be well come up with something. good luck and keep me posted.

LOL..."what are you planning?"... Right now I am just buying parts as I see them come available. As soon as I get some time freed up, I am going to totally redo my 68. But right now I am working 40 to 50 hours at my real job and another 40 plus hours rehabbing a house.

But your right, I will come up with something sooner or later

If your looking to get disc brakes and 5 lug,The cheapest way i know is a 73-87 crossmember and front suspension swap.Yeah you need to rebuild half it and new springs but it bolts right in and is cheap if you do it yourself.Next step up to me would be like no limit or scott's hot rods,But if you want to bag it you got other options as well.

Agree what are you trying to do? If you are looking to get it low, Porterbuilt would be the way to go. You looking at making it seriously handle, Hotchkis TVS would be the kit to go with.

chevy_mike, im trying to do what everyone else is trying to do and that is get low. I want to make a worth while purchases. I wanted to upgrade my suspension by getting control Arms. once that is done, im stuck with a particular vendor for the cross member. as it stands now, the front, lowest part of my frame is 2 inches of the ground. the rear, lowest point, is 1.75 inches from the ground. I want my 71 C10 to look good while parked, perform while driven, and be an all around bad ass truck. this needs to be this

I just received their corner grabber IFS kit for my 55 chevy truck. As a fabricator, the welds have good penetration but could have used splatter shield to protect the parts from MIG splatter. Yes as noted these parts are made in China. and will need gone over with a tig torch just to clean up the welds and make them more appealing. but as I see it is deffinitly not a top of the line IFS. Does not compare to my Heits IFS kit for my 32 Ford coupe project.
I think I could build a nicer IFS in my fab shop but looking at all the components , much cheaper to buy a kit than to scratch build one.
The Johnny Law Motors kit I am using is the coil over shock with sway bar with a power steering set up.

The key to what you want is to get the crossmember up in the frame to gain ground clearance.
There are a handful of companies doing this.
PBfab requires a frame notch on their extreme version, but they also gain you the most ground clearance. (3")
Some say that they require no frame notch,... but they are just the same height as the PB touring version. Compare apples to apples and buy the best you can afford.
I would use Porterbuilt.
