1971/72 gas pedal Assembly
Does any company sell a stock style gas pedal assembly for 1971/72 trucks. I like the cable assembly compared to the rods and linkages. Thanks

Re: 1971/72 gas pedal Assembly
The mounting between the two pedals (67-70 rod) (71-72 cable) is different. There was a board member that made an adapter plate that I owned at one time, but I sold it off a while back, and he no longer is an active member here.
Lokar makes a billet assembly in both polished, and black for both assembly styles that uses a cable. They are the only ones I know of that makes a bolt-in kit for this. Otherwise, you'd have to go to a junkyard and pull a pedal assembly from any 71-87 truck, or van (the mounting is all the same, just a different plastic pedal on the trucks) and fab your own bolting system. hope that helps! |

Re: 1971/72 gas pedal Assembly
My advise and what I did was to get a complete assembly off the board and convert. There is a thread on the board that provides a very simple conversion method that does not require an adapter. If memory serves me right it's titled no drill conversion. Good luck

Re: 1971/72 gas pedal Assembly
I just installed the Lokar one a couple weeks ago. Very nice quality. I got it from Jegs.
