From experience I'd say that the gas tank is one thing you are far better off to spend the extra few bux and buy new and be done with it. Even the cleanest on the outside old tanks often have dirt, debris, rust and the results of old gas sitting in them for a length of time especially the ones that had unleaded sitting in them in the past few years. That adds to more headaches than the cheap used tank is worth and from what I see on FB and other places a lot of guys think their old cruddy ones are worth as much as a new one.
If you have Amazon Prime you can get a Spectra Premium tank for 155.29 delivered. ![]() Lately I check both Rock Auto and Amazon on the majority of parts I am hunting if I can wait a couple of days for them and have saved a lot.
