My 51 year old rearend finally gave it up.

Truck is a 64 c10. Been beating on it for 7 years now. Chrisman eve morning the rearend that has a mini spool and axles finally gave up the ghost. 51 year old ring/pinion and bearings. Funny thing is its the relatively new mini spool that failed. Broke an ear off it and it bounced around a bit. I guess it's time for a full spool and c-clip eleminators.

Haha, of course its the new parts that broke! Go figure. We make race engines today with 20x the factory hp of those old engines, yet somehow the 51 year old hardware always holds up the best!! I love my 12 bolt, thankfully its held together with the posi setup and Moser 35splines.

What carrier are you running? I'm diff shopping at the moment...looking for either 33 or 35 spline for a GM truck 12-bolt.
