Interesting truck.

By "has high-low transmission", he has to be referring to a 2-Speed Rear.

Yes, Firestone 20" split style. There are new style 22.5 rims that fit on that 5/10 bolt pattern now. Not cheap but at least available

It's amazing how many people are befuddled by the 2 speed rear axle.

I had an 87 7500 GMC w/366, 4 and 2 that I bought in 93. It was the first dump truck I ever owned. My dad, son in law and I hauled thousands of tons of material on that thing without a hitch. As the company grew and that truck got relegated to smaller jobs and less experienced drivers got in it, they kept it torn up all the time. Sometimes they got the two speed in limbo and would come in a say the rear was out of it. I finally bought a Kodiak with a Cat and Allison so those newbys could drive it, and traded the old GMC to a friend of mine for a 71 Cheyenne Super. He has run the wheels off it since he got it.
