Rear end question
I found a 12 BOLT 6 LUG REAR END--NON POSI 3.73 GEAR--coil spring out of heavy 1/2 ton truck. Will this bolt into my 67 3/4 ton? Can I just swap the axles to 5 on 5 pattern?

Re: Rear end question
You need to get the proper length axle shafts. Stock 71-72 5 lug axle shafts will be too long.
I am using a 1969 12 bolt in my 1972 and bought shorter conversion shafts with 5 lugs from Moser. Gary

Re: Rear end question
That is good info. My main concern is that it will fit in the truck. I want to jump on this thing for $110 & he is only 5 miles away. I will make sure I measure the axles before I buy the new ones. Thanks for the help.

Re: Rear end question
If your truck is coil sprung and the rear is for coil springs then the answer is yes it will bolt in/under your truck. Jim

Re: Rear end question
But you cannot swap the 1/2 ton axles into a 3/4 ton housing. They mount completely different

Re: Rear end question
if the 6 lug rear you found is out of a 70, the stock 5 lug axles will fit...but the earlier rears are too narrow for stock axles...but plenty of places make them
