Did this truck ever get finished?

I know its not going to be something most members here like, but I thought it was looking to be kinda neat when done ... anyone?

Cool. That looks like it started as a long bed pickup.

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

I have often wondered about this one myself. I am strangely drawn to it. It is just so different. Obviously a lot of fab work went into it.
I'm thinking small block, bagged, cowl section grafted to the front of a long wheel base bed. That wood looking bed cover resembles an old wooden boat.

That solves any body shim/door adjustments!!! Looks to be a bit shorter than a blazer also

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

Haven't heard anything on this one since that picture was posted. I believe it's a K/5 chassis, or cut down to K/5 WB, with long bedsides from a-pillar back

That instrument cluster looks to be from a 57 truck. Kuddos to who ever dreamed this one up. I'd like to see it in it's current state.

I'm pretty sure it did. I saw some pics but never saved them. I believe it was silver or metallic green with some accent colours.

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

The wood deck in place of the bed did it for me, I like that. Still should have stock wheels and ride height for me though, so I'm in the wrong place...

I sort of agree with you. There are a lot of finishing mods I would do. Different wheels and tires. Not so slammed. Maybe some old school buckets. Id keep the stock style dash. Possibly a low, head height roll bar that extends all the way across just behind the seats. And maybe some Cobra style side pipes ... but they are tucked up and hidden with them exiting through a hole in the box down low.

Yeah Ive had a few thoughts on this since the first time I saw it years ago

It'd be a little difficult to get in if it had stock wheels and was stock height, it has no doors.

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

I wish I could find the finished pic. To be honest, I like it in this stage better than the finished stage. But both are still awesome. A very unique truck.

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

I admire and respect the out of box thinking. The tapered bed line that starts at the cowl has an awkward appearance though. Still, someone has put quite a bit of effort into this, and it's inspiring.

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

It's cool what using a bedside from the fender did for the body line, making it taper all the way from the A-pillar. I'd like to build one with back seating (on the floor) and a short deck. Do the interior with a fiberglass tub, drain holes, and boat seats/upholstery

Same here, just as it is. Color and all. Being "in progress" shows off how it was done, and it just looks cool a little scrappy

I may have to agree with you there. But just to be sure, got any pictures?

Re: Did this truck ever get finished?

I would mount a couple seats on top of the bed covering...... granny style...and get a Georgia smell hound named "Duke" to ride next to me...

And yes, we may need a picture of the two girls just to make a visual comparison...
