Accuair Pressure Switch Wire Extension?

I am installing accuair elevel on my 1966 burb.

The air tank is between the frame rails behind the gas tank.

I want to put the vu4 and computer on the frame rail by the drivers door.

The problem is that the pressure switch wire is not long enough to reach. Is there a way to extend this wire? or is it ok to extend it? I could not find an extension on there website.

If i mount the vu4 behind the air tank, near rear bumper, i am concerned that the wires for the rest of the kit will not be long enough.

There should be no reason you can't extend the wires to the pressure switch.
If it were me I would call accuair and see if they have an extension harness for this. I know I was told to cut, solder, and heat shrink the height sensor wires on a kit I did previously.

Re: Accuair Pressure Switch Wire Extension?

I talked to accuair and they said the only wire that you can not modify is the one that goes to your controller.

My next question is can you solder the 20 ga. aluminum wire to a 20 ga copper wire?

Aluminum wire from my experience does not take solder too well. I also avoid using aluminum wire whenever possible, do not like mixing wire types.

The accuair wire is aluminum 20 awg. Accuair had said to solder and heat shrink the wires.
