Clyde's '65 BBW "Bonnie"

Ok so I had started a build thread for this truck but some things have changed and wanted to start over on my personal account. So here we go again

I picked up this '65 a little over a month ago. She started out her life as a Doran Chevrolet service truck. She's got a 283 that's seems fairly strong. I will run it for now until I get to that stage. Eventually she will be bagged with the works but for now. Its going to be static drop with big brakes, rims, new wiring, etc

Also knocked down some surface rust and got a nice patina look. I plan on painting her down the road but for now this will have to do

I also have a full time "helper" it will be his truck one day

Re: Clyde's '65 BBW "Bonnie"

I have the rims but I'm still have to get tires but not sure what route I want to go yet. Went with 17x8 in the front and 17x9 in the rear

What did you use to get rid of the spray paint?

I've got a patch of black spray paint on my rear fender that I would like to see gone.

Green scotch brite and CLR. Took a decent amount of scrubbing but came off

Re: Clyde's '65 BBW "Bonnie"

Started on running the new ebrake lines but needed to do some research on the final steps so I moved on to replacing my harness. Now I'm debating on restoring my cluster

Re: Clyde's '65 BBW "Bonnie"

Haven't had too much time to work on the truck but with a hour here and there I've managed to get some more electrical done. Removed the power booster someone converted the truck to. they kinda hacked up the firewall a bit. I'll have to fix that down the road when it gets body worked and painted.
