Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

a couple questions:
does this mount in the factory location? and is factory length (only adjustable) or is this a long bar with the additional brackets to mount from side to side? Any install pics?
Thanks
Dave

Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

Dave,

Yes, this mounts in the factory location for "mild" drop applications of 4" or less. They adjust at both ends through RH and LH threaded Chromoly Rod Ends, so there is no need to remove one end to adjust the position of the rear-end. Just install each end, adjust to desired length, and tighten the jam nuts. I will post up some install pics this evening or early tomorrow.

Thanks,

Mike

A short 'easily' adjustable PHB has been sorely missed in the market. Kudos for stepping up & filling the need.

X2

Also really nice to see the hardware as a kit because it is very frustrating dealing with missing hardware and having to wait weeks/months for replacements.

Nice job!

Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

Thanks, guys! Yeah, we are trying to make our kits as complete as possible, this does increase the cost a little, but much better in the end for the customer.

P.S. We will be posting some install pics later today!

They are adjustable at both ends, with right and left hand threaded rod ends so the length can be adjusted without removing from the truck.

Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

What is the range of length for the shorter bar (for the 6x-72 app)?
Do or can you make 'custom lengths'?
What size are the retaining bolts?

I have a custom app. I noticed this & remembered the OE 6x-72 bars are pretty close to what I need.

Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

anything for 73-87 trucks. like to have one for my 10 bolt. prefer a bolt on kit. something similar to ridetech bolt on one in their 4 link kit. but they don't sell it separately.

Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

SCOTI - The range is approximately 23-1/4" to 24-1/2" with 5/8" bolts to attach the heim joints to the frame. Currently, we are not producing custom lengths.

chevy-fun - Sorry, we don't have anything similar to that bracket at this time.

Re: HD Chromoly Panhard Bars

Do you know if your extended bar will clear the PML Style covers that are deeper for more fluid?

Here is a link to the cover I am referring to: http://www.yourcovers.com/diffcover_6058.php

Thanks,
Jason

Jason,

I can't say for sure as I haven't used these specific covers. We created a mounting point on the trailing arm bracket that would clear T/A style covers, but I'm not sure how much of a dimensional difference there is between the two styles. I'm attaching another shot of our extended bar used in our coil-over set-up, which utilizes the same mounting point on the trailing arm. This angle may help visualize the clearance you are questioning. Sorry I cannot give you a definite answer on this one.

Thanks,

Thanks for the compliment on our shop truck!

Yes we still have them, are you looking at the Series 1 (for 4" drop or less) or the Series 2 (for 5" drop or more)?
