brightning up my grill on my 1970
i heard you could water sand this grill and make them look new. can anyone tell me the process of doing it thanks

I used oven cleaner to remove the factory clear coat, it dulls it worse but sand with 400 grit, and then start buffing with some coarse aluminum polish and then go with some mothers to finish polishing it.you'll have to keep up on the polishing to keep it shiney since you got rid of the clear coat. good luck i did mine already, don't rush it, it takes a while. john
