Differential swap questions from a newbie.

Howdy all y'alls.
I'm getting ready to swap out the 9.5" differential in my '84 Camper Special GMC. My axles are the 8 lug versions as well as having the big drum brakes.

The donor truck is a 1977 Chevy C-20 with the G51 heavy suspension package and a 10.5" differential. Yes... I'm putting that huge front sway bar on my GMC.

Question #1, will the brake internals from my 9.5" differential work on the 10.5" differential ? The brake drums "look" almost identical and GM is notorious about making things interchangeable.

Question #2, The parking brake cable routing scheme seems to be completely different between the two trucks.

I was hoping on just being able to reuse the cabling on my GMC except now I notice that the brake cable tie downs bolt onto the back of the 10.5" of the Chevy whereas on the GMC the cables just have the press tabs that push into the backing plates.

Has anyone done a similar swap and what was your solution ? Not having a parking brake is NOT an option.

Thanks in advance !
