Roloc discs

I'm paying about a buck each for these at Harbor Freight, and of course theirs don't last a minute. I'm curious where others buy them. I see them on Amazon for about the same price, but they're 3M brand. Is there a better source? Thanks.

Re: Roloc discs

Most of the body shop supplies around Baton Rouge sell 3m for a box of 25 for about 25 bucks or less depending on size and grit.

Some are sticklers on having a account but most will sell to a cash customer.

Re: Roloc discs

Thanks, there's one not far from me. If I can't get a decent deal there, Amazon isn't far off from jobber prices then.

Re: Roloc discs

I buy my 3m rolocs right at Napa. Been a while so I don't recall what they were charging.

Re: Roloc discs

I get mine through Lehigh Valley Abrasives and they last a long time, good price too. I just put in an order though Empire Abrasives to see how good they are in comparison. I used to buy them at Harbor Freight but they don't last long enough and don't sell the roloc in flap disc style.

Re: Roloc discs

I usually get them from Lehigh Valley Abrasives as well, I find that using the correct grit and then going to a lighter grits gets it done faster and saves on the disks. I used to get an 80 and lay on it till it was where I wanted it, 5 discs later, but now I use a 36 to rough it out and 80 to smooth and 120 to get it sanding ready using only the three disks.

Looks like much better pricing than McMaster Carr where I was buying.

Next order will be http://www.lehighvalleyabrasives.com
