CPP Caliper Bolt Problem

I am changing out from disc to drum on my '66 C10 and have also rebuilt the front suspension. Assembly was going fine until time to install the CPP calipers. Upon removing from the box I tried to remove the caliper bolts (2 per caliper) so that I could install onto the spindle. The caliper bolts just spin when turned by the hex key. Am I doing something wrong? I used very little force in trying to remove them. I suspect manufacturing error but wanted to check. Any ideas? thx.

try "pushing" them out . The caliper bolt has threads only on the head side,
They slid in then get screwed in. If you have unscrewed them they should be able to be pushed/ pulled out you can get a screw driver to push it out ore if you can grip the head pull it, hope this make sense

Thanks, they were already fully screwed in right out of the box. So when I am trying to unscrew the bolt, the threads aren't biting and allowing the threaded portion to unscrew. Hope thats not confusing. I was thinking about using a punch to push on the end of the bolt to help engage the threads as I unscrew them from the opposite side.

Ok you can also try having someone push on the bolt as you try to unscrew them.
That is strange that it is not grabing

Ok, figured it out -user error. The bolts were pushed into to caliper holes for shipping - almost press fit. Not having had calipers before, I didn't realized it was simply pushed in - no threads. A punch solved the problem. thank you for helping
