Automatic shift linkage

Why can you not find automatic shift linkage anywhere? I have a 1979 with a turbo 350. I went to the junk yard today and got a couple. But I need the bushing that goes in the frame. Any idea where I can get one?

Re: Automatic shift linkage

I just got mine from the junkyard with the spring both still in good condition. None of the trucks in the yard had the bushing?

Re: Automatic shift linkage

Would all the linkage from the column to the trans be the same for a 700r ? Someone put a floor shifter in mine and took the column shifter and linkage out. I haven't had a chance to go to the junkyard

Yes. 700R4 and TH350/400 are the same.

Re: Automatic shift linkage

Does anyone happen to have a view of the rod that connects between the frame and transmission shift lever? I need to see what all is on the rod that connects to the frame. I know there is a bushing and a spring but is there washers, clip, etc? Stupid me forgot to take pictures or label the parts when I took them off.
