push through caps on 6 lug rally wheels

finally got a set of bullet caps for my 6 lug rally wheel, found them on sleaze bay. only took 3 years to find them. had to open the holes just a bit but fit perfect.

bought them from lugnutkingiv2005 on ebay. said they were for pre-59 chevy trucks but would fit 60's-85 rally wheel if hub bore was opened up to 3.7" came 5 caps I guess to test fit the wheel. good thing because it got really beat up test fitting. spent about 10 minutes on each wheel with a die grinder and a carbide bit. my wheels were close to start and didn't have much to take off. they side in with now issues. here's the link to what I bought.

How wide was your opening before you started grinding? I'm wondering if the opening on your rally rim is the same as my stock steel rim??? 15 inch 6 lug for a 1970. Also, did you have any clearance issues on the back rims?

I believe the hole size in mine were 3.56 diameter. mine appeared to be stock opening, had no evidence of prior opening. my guess is that your will be around the same size. I removed about .06" all the way around and the caps slid right in. fit the back of the rims perfect, had no issue fitting over the rear axle hub either. finding this size cap was a huge challenge since no one make hub caps for these wheels.

Saving this thread. I have the bullet lugnuts already on my factory steelies and didn't know which size worked.

Try calling them 909 376 8011. I have worked with them in the past and had positive results. Now I find they have the bullet caps for my American Racing wheels.
