What is this bracket

This bracket is on my 72 Sierra grande and I don't know what it is its riveted on so I'm assuming its factory. It's on drivers side behind rear wheel and there isn't one on passengers side

That is the hanger for the tail pipe. Part of it is missing but that is a factory piece. Only trucks with dual exhaust (BBC) would have that on the passenger side.
