I need that guy---the one that covered up his heater box openings with gaskets.

The openings in the heater box for the heater core's tubes to poke through, those openings are much larger than necessary. Someone fixed that, I think with a master cylinder gasket.

I bought a set at Advance Auto today but the ones I bought are just a little bit too narrow. Would the guy that suggested that tell me what gaskets he bought?

Did anyone else fix this problem and how did you do it?

Use black closed cell foam , or many of the vendors sell the "seals" to fit over the heater core tubes .made from black closed cell foam .

What vendor then? I looked on both GMCPauls and Classic Heartbeat to no avail.

try lowes plumbing section pipe insulation or a heating and cooling place for a more denser black foam pipe wrap only a few bucks for a 3 foot length

manestruckparts.com click on a/c and heater parts then scroll down to the heater box gasket set . I have black closed cell foam if you just want a couple pieces 3/8x3x4 inches (trim to fit ) with a hole punched in the center pm me your address and I'll toss a couple in the mail for you on Monday .
