New '64 - in New Zealand

Hi all,

Wee while ago I purchased the below 64 short stepside C10 from a guy selling it on behalf of his granddad. I organised it to be shipped over to me here in New Zealand and it has recently landed here.

It's currently going through import inspection and will have a to do a few things for it to meet NZ road worthy standards. I imported a few parts with it such as a new oak bed wood kit.

I was pretty stoked when my guy in the US found this truck. 1 owner and has been in San Fran it's whole life. (Ran the VIN and checked it's history).

When the truck comes home once it's road worthy, I'll post some more pics and create a project build thread. I'm not going to slam it or hotrod it, just want to keep it original and tidy. It has a 350 V8 with a 4 speed on the floor, it drives really nice and sounds great!

Cheers,
Fraser

wow very cool! What will you have to do to meet "road-worthy" standards?

Re: New '64 - in New Zealand

Cheers guys!

I'm still waiting to see what exactly I have to do. But I know I need diagonal seatbelts, a 3rd brake light, a drive shaft loop (it was a 6cyl originally), new headlights (as we drive on the other side here and the angle a different way).

Not sure what else yet, hopefully nothing major so I can get out there and enjoy cruising around in it!

They are quite rare here in NZ, only seen a couple floating around

Cheers,

The above link if you want the shoulder belt. I've got the holes drilled and nuts installed, still need the belts.
