Below eyeline mirror identification?
Got these in a parts lot recently. I believe they are OEM brackets, but not too sure. I'm more unsure about the mirror heads, so will post pics.

Those lower supports are short like the '72s, but the upper support is flat and bends up. Not sure, but the lowers look a bit longer. That gives them away as aftermarket. Not sure about the markings on the heads OEM or other. I see that on a lot of mirrors and not sure if on OEMs, but prolly not. I have seen these before and they are very close to the OEMs, except for that upper support. Is one mirror mount offset from center more than the other? I have noticed this before (if yours are different) and I think it's correct. Passenger side sits higher.

That top bracket is kind of weird, so I know they arent 72, even though the bottom 'V' bracket looks like it could possibly be 72.

They appear to be SIMILAR to those for 1972, but the top bracket should be tubular. The elbows are not original. The original elbows had threaded studs, not bolts, and the mirror heads were secured with acorn nuts. I've gotten mirror heads with the stamping off of later model Fords and Dodges. They are almost identical to our original heads except for the stamping and, for lack of a better term, the "mini-gussets" where the mounting brackets riveted to the heads are bent. My original 69 heads have the mounting brackets offset, but most I've seen are centered on the head.

Heres mine (72) right on the truck. Should be the originals, except the bolts (i didnt put them there, but they work)
Not sure why they're turned

Thanks, I knew they weren't 72, as I've had those. I guess they are aftermarket all the way around lol.

A nice aftermarket facsimile of the '72s. I have a set that are like 1.2 the size. Maybe made for mini trucks, but might look cool for a pseudo stock mild custom look...or a miniaturized one!
