How much is this truck worth?

I'm curious to what you would value this truck? Long bed cheyenne. Rusted drip rails, needs work. http://lakeland.craigslist.org/cto/5690750783.html

Re: How much is this truck worth?

It is definitely not worth 7400. It needs a lot of work, it is the little details they need that will break the bank

Agree... I personally wouldn't pay more than a grand for it.

We're not discussing a sale or conducting a transaction of any kind in any way so I would assume it's okay, however, I'm sure one of our Moderators will let us know if it's a no-go.

I wouldn't pay more than 3000 bucks for it. 1500 is a little on the low side, it's not great but it's not that bad either. Pretty cool that the 700r4 swap is already done, bet it's a blast to drive

Re: How much is this truck worth?

These things are very subjective. But to me, it's not worth $7400. Sounds like he's trying to get out what he has already put into it.

I would say around $3k is max number. If he parted it out, that might be what he gets but with a whole lot more work.

Re: How much is this truck worth?

I almost choked when I saw the price, but who knows, the price of fixer-upers have more than doubled in the past 2 years.

I'd be more worried about the drip rail rust. Short of a complete cab replacement, that can become major.

Where I live the ask would be in the 3500-4500 dollar range easy.

Maybe 3000, if the rust isn't too bad.

Re: How much is this truck worth?

I wouldn't think it's worth that asking price.
That's just my opinion tho. It's all subjective and from where I'm standing 2500 would be my top dollar if I had to have it. However of I had 7K plus to spend I'd pass and look for something nicer. IMHO.

Quite a few good parts there. It looks like the guy wants recoup most of the money he spent on the engine, to appease the wife. He might have some luck selling if he'd drop the price about five Gs

Re: How much is this truck worth?

Here in Alabama that is so far from even being a $3000 vehicle. I think $1500 is a decent asking price and try to negotiate it to $1300.

Board rules say that a non-Paying member can ask what something is worth if they are trying to buy it. They can not ask what something is worth if they are selling.....

Re: How much is this truck worth?

The reason I said 1500 earlier is the drip rail rust. To me that's a serious issue.

Re: How much is this truck worth?

I would say $2500-3000 tops depending on how it drives. The drip rail would definitely need some evaluation.

That's what I was asking for in my thread. Asking a price to buy.

It could be a pretty sneaky way around the rules "Whats it worth" by posting his own listing in where ever he has it (if it is really his) in other Forums like this one. just my .02

Re: How much is this truck worth?

$3500 *if* he had left the paint alone, had it running, and fixed a couple things.

As it sits about $1,500-2K if someone really wants it.
