showing my progress

been poking around here for a while time to post ive had a few different '72's but wanted to do a frame off truck and change it exactly how i wanted it to be. got this one from a friend of mine the dist had caught on fire and brunt up the dash windshield wiring etc. been sitting in barn for a few years.

looked like fix damage go over it and be ok. not the case it had rust throughout cab and body. when pulled apart had been in crash passenger firewall pushed back and more surprises throughout.

ive been working on it as i have cash for about 6 years im going to try and get the original photos loaded but their prints.

ive had more challenges on this truck than any thing ive worked on. like i said cab was shot but i started fixing it didnt like how it was looking so i bought a rust free cab i had cab on a rack i made to sand blast every where well it got away from me and flipped on its back dented top next to where cargo light would be. so i finished blasting it walked in shop to get primer and when i came back out the only cloud in the sky was over it raining.

next i had it under a shed and when parking my backhoe it was like slow motion i hit the left tail light and knocked truck into a tractor in front. ruined bed side and perfect hood.

the motor and trans are rebuilt before i put it in and oil pan gasket is leaking any time it sits for 10 seconds.

trying to get bumper to line up (wrong year i know) found the chassis horns are bent slightly

etc. etc. etc.

but not letting it discourage me im getting closer to the end its now where i want to show it to yall

the specs are titled as 1972 ive taken apart about 15 trucks to make this one
1989 tbi 5.7
700r4

currently working out a/c (using universal this and that)

ive painted interior got to get funds together for exterior doing the factory white top red white between trim and red bottom

will try to add pictures not in chronological order though
