Gas tank ?

I have a 65 GMC step side under construction. I am now looking for a gas tank that has a rear fill so I can use a flip down license plate to fill up. Anyone have any ideas on what type of gas tank to use (Chevy, ford, chrysler)?

Thanks

Re: Gas tank ?

I remember back in the day when one of those cars with the rear fill tank would be going up the street and gas was pouring out from behind the license plate..

Re: Gas tank ?

interesting, I thought I read that a 66 mustang tank would work also. (I would rather have the fill from top of bed and leave rear license access for receiver hitch)

Re: Gas tank ?

Mine is from a Chevelle, I think '69 but I'm not sure. I also replaced the rear bumper with a roll pan, so I don't need to worry about hauling trailers.
