EGR Delete & Custom chips - Info/Links

This thread is NOT FOR ARGUING about what EGR does, or if it sucks, or whether deleting it has any benefits.
This thread is only here to save people time, aggravation and money by providing links to QUALITY parts & services.

Most of the pollution crap has been off my truck for years. I finally deleted the EGR valve and EGR solenoid. Because my Blazer is TBI - I had a hard time finding a Block Off Plate that lined up with the bolt holes in the GM TBI manifold (Ya, the carb'd EGR block off plates are cheap and easy to find... but they DON'T work for TBI.)
...and I needed someone who knew wtf when programming chips.

This guy Jim is a one man machine shop and does outstanding quality work:

(541) 760-7292 and he returns calls.

This guy programs chips for performance & towing. He'll delete the EGR off your chip so your truck isn't throwing codes at you, or program you a custom chip for your truck.

He also has a store on ebay. Click here.

He has the 1980's 454 EGR Block-offs also and the L98 kit looks interesting too. I wish I knew about that when I had the El Camino and the other K5 set up with EFI

Good info.
On my 2008 Dodge mega 6.7 diesel, i deleted the dpf/cat/ egr/ egr cooler, oxygen sensors, and installed a smarty jr tuner. On the medium power tune i still get 5mpg more accross the board. Highway or city or towing.. My towing went from 10mpg average to 14mpg.

Re: EGR Delete & Custom chips - Info/Links

if you dont it will trip a code at cruising speeds. I bought an highrise dual plane carbed intake for mine without the egr port, and my vortec heads require way to much work anyways. But i left the egr solenoid hooked up and just capped the vac line. When i had the VSS still it would trip a code around 45mph, so i solved that by installing a np205 and not hooking up a VSS.
