Windows its been so long i forgot the secret

Im building a freshly painted door finally got the door handle to work now im having a hard time getting the window to go into the regulator its manual do I install regulator first or what? What is proper procedure for getting the window to get onto the regulator and work Ive not put in the wing window yet and its a front left (dri9vers) door

I always start with all of the seals removed. Put tape on the new paint across the top of the opening to prevent scratches. Put the regulator in the door loosely bolted in place. Roll it all the way up where the rollers are sticking up out of the door. Put the window on the rollers and carefully roll the regulator down taking the window all the way down into the door. Now install the vent window followed by the window channel seal, and outer scraper seal. Now adjust and tighten regulator and seal channel, and lubricate as needed.
