1YD410 is my code in the glove box for the rear axle. What type of rear end do I have? Is it posi? What is the gear ratio? Where can I find an explantion of GM option codes for my truck?

The best way to do this is to get the code off of the axle tube.
Then go to:http://www.americanclassic.com/paint_test.asp
And check there.
The other sure fire way is to take the cover off and count the teeth on the gears.
The rear axles and gears got switched fairly often on these trucks so nothing beats a visual inspection.
